Noticeboard

We are aware with an issue with Patient Access (online prescription ordering)- the system has been updated and the new update has added a screen asking patients to nominate their pharmacy- There is no option to nominate your dispensary at the practice.

This is beyond our control but we have reported the problem (as have many other practices) and we are awaiting a fix- In the meantime, you can order repeat prescriptions by:

  • Dropping or posting a note into us at any time (we give you a printed list of your repeat medications each time if you'd like to use that)
  • Faxing the request to us on 01643 821770
  • Phoning through on 01643 822594 between 9.00-11.00 in the morning and 3.00-5.00pm in the afternoon. Please do not use the Dunster main surgery appointment line.

With Dr Kelham retiring, Dr Fawden will now be based mostly in Porlock and take over Dr Kelham’s list.  This means that Dr Fawden will not be available very much in Dunster so we have reallocated his patients to Dr Sherry (who is currently being covered by three doctors part time whilst she looks after her new baby).

It’s a time of tremendous change and we hope you will understand if there are occasional disruptions as we ease into our new patterns now Dr Kelham has retired.

Appointments

Appointments can be booked online: follow the 'Online Services' page on the 'Quick Links' section to the right.

Consultations

Consultations are provided by appointment. However, in the event of a routine appointment not being available, patients requiring urgent medical care will always be seen at the end of normal surgery.

Telephone Consultations

Dr Kelham holds telephone consultations after normal surgery. These are available for all patients who do not necessarily need to see the Doctor face to face. If you do require this service, please give brief details of the problem to our Receptionist; you will then be given a time that the Doctor will contact you after morning surgery.

Duration of appointments

Surgery appointments are usually of 10 minutes duration. If you feel that your problem needs to be discussed at greater length, then please request a longer appointment.
